What is The Grand Algorithm?

The Grand Algorithm is, as far as I can possibly make out, responsible for everything that is. I can see no other way than all things, all phenomena, all events - whether on a cosmic, relative scale or a microscopic, quantum scale - exist thanks to a single Grand Algorithm, from which absolutely everything that happens, happens. 

There has to be a grand algorithm for all things: for the chaos, the order, The Big Bang, and for everything that followed it. How can it be any other way?

How can it be that something - anything - could happen, or have happened, other than it did? Everything now, from the way the butterfly flaps its wings and the tornado forms, thanks to what we now call "The Butterfly Effect", to the thoughts that occur inside my head, from the chance neutrino passing through my body, or the chance mutation of a single gene in my DNA to some chance event causing it, is thanks to The Grand Algorithm.

The Grand Algorithm is, for want of a better word, God.

And me, you, everyone else; all our thoughts and feelings and actions; all our mistakes and trips over carpets, our memories and forgetfulnesses, our passions, our connections to others; our love affairs, the coincidences that lead us to draw conclusions about our lives; our beliefs, our expectations, our morals, our senses; our decisions, our hesitations, procrastinations, convictions; everything that we do, or makes us think, or makes us act on impulse or after careful thought; all the things that every one of us does for good, for evil, out of indifference, whether consiously or unconsciously is due entirely to one thing: The Grand Algorithm.

All of nature is due to The Grand Algorithm. All scientific phenomena, math, stuff: all of it is due to The Grand Algorithm. Life, The Universe, Everything: it is due to The Grand Algorithm.

All great acts, all evil: all war, culture, society, art, language, scientific theory and these very words that I'm writing and you, reader, are reading, are thanks to The Grand Algorithm. So to are all moments, all events, all non-events, all music, and every single moment in history of the human race, all galaxies, stars, planets and their moons, and all cosmic dust in between. 

Everything. Absolutely everything, and its actions, down to the quantum level, is a product of, and is affected by, The Grand Algorithm.

This is the new determinism. This is "God" for the 21st century.

Since every one of us is due to The Grand Algorithm, a number of things that we take for granted as being our responsibility, for better or worse, simply aren't so. None of is here due to our hard work. No person is born thanks to their efforts, nor their decision. What we think of as "free will" can't possibly be anything other than an illusion. More on "Free Will"

It can't be denied that I, Jack Lee, am choosing to write this blog. It can't be denied that I, Jack Lee, will be making the decision to publish it as a book if and when it happens. But what has led to these "choices"? How am I choosing? Did the choice to write this come from a decision I made recently, or long ago? What is my motive for writing it? How did the motive come about? The way it seems to me is that, since "I" am a product of my upbringing, DNA, experiences, education and all the chance events in my life that have led to my opinions, beliefs and knowledge, I can't possibly see how "I" made the decision to create this blog at all.  Look at it another way: had I become someone else, that is, for example, met other people, read other books, acquired other influences, had a different upbringing, had a family (and therefore less time to think so deeply about the kind of stuff I think about) then there may well have been a likelihood
